The buyer contacts 54THE5 with the vehicle they're looking for, including model, specification, budget and preferences.
54THE5 searches the Japanese market and presents suitable vehicles with an estimated Dubai price.
Because the Japanese auction material couldn't simply be published publicly, detailed auction photographs, auction sheets and VIN information were provided privately to serious buyers, with the NDA approach we discussed.
The buyer places a deposit and authorises 54THE5 to bid for the selected vehicle up to the agreed threshold. We had discussed the deposit as 10% of the selling price, alongside the separate 0.5% non-refundable brokerage fee structure.
54THE5 bids for the vehicle within the internal maximum. If the car isn't won, the process can move onto another suitable vehicle/refund according to the agreed terms.
Once the auction is won, the purchase becomes committed. This was where your post-win/no-pull-out provision became important.
The vehicle is prepared for export from Japan and shipping to the UAE is arranged.
Customs/import procedures, arrival checks and the remaining logistics are completed in Dubai.
